Dreams

The question concerning dreams appears to be related to reality as we perceive it. If we take the position that dreams are the production of our own subconscious, our resting consciousness, then all that is in our dreams is produced by ourselves. We choose the theater, we set the stage, we create the landscapes and sceneries, we choose the actors and we write their scripts, in short the play of our dreams comes from our own authorship. What makes dreams such a strange phenomena is that we ourselves also perform on the stage and appear to be separate and distinct from all that is set about us. The whole play takes place and with each moment new situations evolve and unseen potential outcomes leave the dreamer uncertain of what will happen next. The real questions begin, if we accept that we own our dreams, when we realise that we ourselves are creating the reality of the landscapes we perform in nightly.
